How tailors price this

Tailors quote per outfit, with the style setting the base. A simple iro and buba, a straight kaftan or a boubou is less work than a fitted gown with a corset, a full agbada with sokoto and fila, or a kente piece that needs careful pattern matching. Embellishment is quoted on top: machine embroidery on an agbada neckline, hand beading or stoning on a gown, lace overlays and cutouts all add hours, and the heavier the beading, the more the quote reflects it.

Fabric: supplied vs sourced

Most clients bring their own aso-ebi fabric, usually a set number of yards chosen by the celebrant. If the tailor sources it, the quote includes the fabric plus their time.
