By using the Marketplace, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you may not use the Marketplace.

- Service Provider information: business name, service category, description of services, photos, availability, pricing, and other listing details.
- Government-issued identification: Service Providers must submit a valid government-issued ID (e.g., driver’s licence, passport, national ID) for identity verification.
- Communications: messages, inquiries, feedback, reviews, and any other content you submit through the Marketplace.
- Support requests: information provided when contacting customer support.
1.2 Automatically collected information
When you use the Marketplace, we may automatically collect:

1.3 Information from third parties

- Service Provider business information from publicly available sources

2. How we use your information
2.1 To operate and improve the Marketplace — create and manage User accounts, display Service Provider listings, facilitate communication between Consumers and Service Providers, and improve functionality, user experience, and platform performance.
2.2 Identity verification — verify that Service Providers are real individuals using government-issued ID, and prevent fraud, impersonation, and unauthorised access.
2.3 Communications — respond to inquiries, send administrative messages, and provide updates, notices, and changes to terms or policies.
2.4 Safety and compliance — detect and prevent fraud or misuse, enforce our Marketplace Agreement, and comply with legal obligations.
2.5 Future services — if Afrihelps introduces new features such as background checks, booking tools, or fee-based services, we may use personal information to support those features. Users will be notified before such changes take effect.
3. Background checks
3.1 No background checks to be conducted at this time. Afrihelps does not currently conduct:
- Criminal background checks
- Professional background checks
- Employment or education verification
- License or certification verification
3.2 Reservation of rights
Afrihelps may introduce background checks or additional verification procedures in the future as the Marketplace grows. If implemented, Users will receive advance notice, updated terms will be posted, and continued use of the Marketplace will constitute acceptance.
4. How we share information
4.1 With other Users — Service Provider profiles, listings, photos, and business information are visible to Consumers. Consumer inquiries and messages are shared with Service Providers.
4.2 With Service Providers — if you are a Consumer, information you choose to share (e.g., name, contact details, service request) may be provided to Service Providers.
4.3 With vendors and service providers — we may share information with third-party vendors who assist with hosting, analytics, identity verification, customer support, and security. These vendors are required to protect your information.
4.4 For legal reasons — we may disclose information to comply with laws, regulations, or legal requests; to protect the rights, property, or safety of Afrihelps, Users, or the public; and to enforce our Marketplace Agreement.
4.5 Business transfers — if Afrihelps undergoes a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, personal information may be transferred as part of the transaction.
5. Cookies and tracking technologies
We use cookies and similar technologies to improve user experience, analyse usage patterns, remember preferences, and provide personalised content. Users may disable cookies through browser settings, but some features may not function properly.
